“Samurai,” another scan from HR Giger ARh+.
Back when I was a teenager obsessed with the Alien Tetralogy, I used to imagine there were numerous castes of Space Jockeys adapted to different functions in their society.  This was one of them.

“The Magus” by H. R. Giger.  Scanned from the 2001 Taschen medium paperback reprint of HR Giger ARh+.  I no longer own the 1996 large paperback printing, which would allow for better resolution but might be impossible to scan.  I’m sure you find these details fascinating.

“Biomechanical Landscape VI” by H. R. Giger.  Without clues to its scale or context, I had interpreted this as the control room of a semi-organic spacecraft.  Having discovered the title, I can see this as an alien city or perhaps a community of colonial organisms akin to graptolites.

A painting by John K. Snyder III (based on the creations of H. R. Giger) which appeared on a card in the Aliens Predator Universe series produced in 1995 by the Topps Company in association with Dark Horse Comics.  This depicts a member of the biomechanoid civilization from Alien, which is due to be revisited in Prometheus.  The pyramid in the background is based on a concept painting for an early draft of Alien in which the eggs were found in a building on the planetoid’s surface rather than a spacecraft that happened to crash there.

“New York City VIII” by H. R. Giger.  Scanned from my Giger 2001 calendar.  I liked this page so much I put it aside for safekeeping when I threw away the rest of the calendar at the end of the year.  I just found it the other day.
