“Portrait of the Artist with His Eye in His Mouth” by Paul Campion.  Scanned from The Encyclopedia of Fantasy and Science Fiction Art Techniques by John Grant and Ron Tiner, which includes many contributions from this artist.  Paul Campion is a comic book artist who also made cover paintings for fantasy and horror novels in the Nineties.  More recently he worked for Tippett Studio and produced matte paintings for the Narnia and Lord of the Rings films.  He also wrote and directed a film of his own, The Devil’s Rock.

These undersized images come from “Modische Atlas der Anatomie,” a photocollage series by Koen Hauser. They don’t fit in with the art I’ve posted here yet, but they’re the greatest thing I’ve come across in a while. As a kid I used to love looking at the human anatomy models in the pages of science catalogs.
