The “SPIKESPORE” is one of the only interesting creatures in either of the “Alien Compendiums” for the old “Star Drive” role playing game. I remember looking at these books when I was younger, but I just downloaded them again and was horribly disappointed. Almost all of the creatures are just earth vertebrates with minimal modification.
